Plenty 2010 is our third annual roundup of the best work local and regional artists have to offer. Opening Thursday, November 18 with a reception from 7-9 pm, our salon style holiday show features new work by over 40 local artists.Plenty celebrates the many talented artists found around Boston and beyond. All types of media are represented including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, wood construction, and a few odd pieces that defy categorization.

Works in the show are modest in size and budget and make great holiday gifts. Our collection of handmade ceramics, jewelry, woodwork and even stuffed animals will also be in abundance. And if you can’t make our opening reception, please join us for some holiday cheer at our Annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 16 from 7-9 pm.

Women’s Used Clothing Sale to benefit the Fox Library

Women’s Clothing Sale Nov 12 & 13!

It only happens a couple of times a year, so don’t miss the next women’s used clothing sale to benefit the Fox Library.

This hugely popular sale will take place on Friday, November 12, 5-9pm, and Saturday, November 13, 1-6pm, in the lower level of the Fox Library, 175 Massachusetts Avenue, East Arlington.

The sale will feature thousands of items, including contemporary clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and other accessories, all in like-new condition, and many with original tags. Brands include labels from mall stores, fine catalogs, and boutiques. There also will be an eclectic selection of gently-used house wares and vintage clothing and accessories.

Although the bulk of the clothing will be in misses sizes, there also will be many items in junior sizes, and a beautiful and extensive selection of plus size pieces. Clothing prices will average about $4.00.

To avoid the crowds, shop on the second day of the event – Saturday the 13th; there still will be loads of merchandise to choose from.

Opening Thursday, November 19 with a reception from 7-9 pm, our salon style holiday show features new work by over 50 local artists. Check here for a full list.

PLENTY celebrates the artistic bounty in our midst, highlighting our latest finds from the area. In addition to painting, drawing, printmaking and photography, we’ve added sculpture, wood construction, and even pieces made from flower petals.

The work is intended to be modest in size and budget – up to 20″ x 20″ and under $750 – and make great holiday gifts. Folks are encouraged to take home their pieces upon purchase, rather than at the exhibit’s close. Perfect for Santa or Hanukkah Harry to pick up on the way to a chimney or menorah near you. (more)
