Saturday, October 29th Decorate goody bags at Artbeat Halloween art projects at Kidcasso

Trick or Treat Monday Oct 31, 3:00 – 5:00 PM

Come in costume to the Capitol Theater, Quebrada,, Maxima, Artbeat, Marbella, and other open businesses

1)Play I Spy

You’ll need an “I Spy” entry form to help you find and document 15 birds commonly found in our local area. Look for birds all summer, find as many as you can, and record your results on the form. Share your finds with us through email, Facebook and Twitter.

• At the end of the summer, turn in your form to be entered into a drawing for prizes, including a family membership to the Mass Audubon Society
• You can pick up the form at ARTBEAT or download it here
• When you sign up at the store, you’ll also receive a bird coloring poster, a full-color bookmark and a free bird plaque to remind you to keep looking for birds. If you’d like, you can decorate the plaque for the next part of the adventure!

2) Make Bird Art

• It can be a drawing, a painting, a collage or sculpture, a bird house, bird feeder, or anything else you’d like.
• Bring your finished piece to ARTBEAT to be put on display for everyone to enjoy

The final deadline is September 4th. Prizes will be awarded in these categories: Ages 7 and under; Ages 8 through 12;  Teen; and Adult.

3) Start a Bird Bottle Cap Collection.

Join us in the ARTBEAT Studio every Saturday morning at 10:30 AM from July 9 through September 3 for Songbird Adventures.

Learn interesting stories about birds and their travels, and learn how you can help birds survive in a world filled with dangers. Every week we’ll create bottle cap art for a different bird. Collect them all, and by the end of the summer you’ll have a bird gallery of your own!

In the Ukrainian tradition, every egg that is decorated brings more good into the world. Learn to make traditional Ukrainian eggs with intricate patterns using melted beeswax, a special stylus, and vibrant dyes. Two classes are coming up, for for adults, teens, and children ten and older, on Friday, 4/15 and Friday, 4/22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Call 781-646-2200 to reserve your place. Cost is $20 per person.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?Prices range from $10 to $85 per project, depending on the size and type of surface you choose. Most projects are in the $15 to $25 range. A complete project list is available in the Studio.

WHEN CAN WE COME?Our Walk-In Studio is open every day. Come during posted hours. Call first on weekends, as space is limited and we may have birthday parties scheduled.

Groups of 3 or more should call in advance to ensure seating.
