By Car
From Rte. 128
Take Rte. 2 East toward Arlington/Cambridge. Take Lake Street, Arlington Exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Lake Street and go to the very end. Turn left or right onto Mass. Ave. You are in The Capitol Square
From Boston, Brookline, Newton
Take Soldiers Field Road toward Arlington and Rt. 16. Pass Fresh Pond Shopping Center, then Alewife T Stop. Get on Rt. 2 West. Take the first exit, Lake St., bearing right onto Lake St. at the end of the exit ramp. Go to the end of Lake St. Turn left or right onto Mass. Ave. You are in Capitol Square
Public Transportation (MBTA)
Take the Red Line to Harvard Square.
From Harvard Square Station, take bus #77, Arlington Heights bus, which runs about every ten minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends. The bus travels on Mass. Ave. through North Cambridge and into Arlington. About 1/2 mile into Arlington, look for the Capitol Theatre on your left.
Take the Red Line to Alewife.
From Alewife Station, take bus #79, or bus#350 Arlington Heights bus, which runs about every 30-45 minutes on weekdays. About 1/2 mile into Arlington, look for the Capitol Theatre on your left.
Walk or Bike
The Minuteman Bikeway runs from west of Alewife Station past Lake St. and on through Arlington Center. Take a right on Lake street and travel 2 blocks to Capitol Square.
Parking
There is 2 hour parking available up and down Massachusetts Ave. One handicapped Parking space is located directly in front of the Capitol Theatre, one in front of Cambridge Savings bank. If you park on a residential side street, please be courteous to our neighbors, and don’t block in driveways.
