Margy Rydzynski runs Arlington Entrepreneurs, an online network for small and micro-businesses in Arlington and its surrounding communities. Margy is a strong supporter of local, independent businesses and wants to see them thrive and grow. She is a writer and editor, also an event manager with over 20 years of experience. Her goal is to bring local businesses together as a way of supporting the economic health and diversity of our town.

The event will be held in Town Hall on March 31st from 10-2 and cover food from seed to where it winds up. Gail’s latest painting features the Arlington farmers market.

Businesses in the Capitol Square District have pledged to contribute gift certificates that will be raffled on 3/31 at Town Hall with the proceeds going to the Town EcoFest committee. Information about the businesses will be placed next to the bags containing raffle tickets.

Gail shifted from producing art for corporations to focusing on environmental issues with OUR FRAGILE EARTH (exhibited in Town Hall this past March-May, among many other far flung places). In addition she is co-chair of Sustainable Arlington and works with statewide environmental organizations. As a relative newcomer, she now paints local street scenes to portray the wonderful sense of community in this Town.Photographs provide inspiration, with considerable liberties taken especially through addition of people everywhere.  Paintings are very small–typically 8″ x 16” or 8″ x 12″ using watered down acrylic.  In

these difficult times it is nice to be able to offer relief with pleasing color and a sense of belonging.  Gail’s wonderful paintings of Arlington are available for purchase as greeting cards at Artbeat.
