East Arlington’s merchants and restaurants invite everyone to this free event that celebrates this unique neighborhood. Many of East Arlington’s 130 businesses will have sidewalk sales, giveaways, and other promotions. Local restaurants will cook and serve food outdoors. In addition, there will be free popcorn, slush, and cotton candy.

Margy Rydzynski runs Arlington Entrepreneurs, an online network for small and micro-businesses in Arlington and its surrounding communities. Margy is a strong supporter of local, independent businesses and wants to see them thrive and grow. She is a writer and editor, also an event manager with over 20 years of experience. Her goal is to bring local businesses together as a way of supporting the economic health and diversity of our town.

Margy is happy to support the East Arlington business community and will be contributing blog posts, photos and videos of its members in action. Arlington Entrepreneurs will also be participating in The Feast of the East.

The Capitol Square Community Ambassador Program is a way for members of the East Arlington community to show the world what makes their neighborhood so great. Community Ambassadors have the opportunity to write about businesses they frequent in the square. The event will be held in Town Hall on March 31st from 10-2 and cover food from seed to where it winds up. Gail’s latest painting features the Arlington farmers market.

Businesses in the Capitol Square District have pledged to contribute gift certificates that will be raffled on 3/31 at Town Hall with the proceeds going to the Town EcoFest committee. Information about the businesses will be placed next to the bags containing raffle tickets.
