Giles Wine of Arlington is part of a three store chain based in the Arlington area with the owner and manager part of the community. Giles offers offer Beer Tastings every Friday from 5-7pm and Wine Tastings every Saturday from 3-7pm. Our store hours are Mon-Sat. 10-9pm and Sun 12-6pm.

  BEER TASTING Friday 5-7pm

  Before prohibition the term cider referred to a fermented beverage made from apples, pears or both. Since the middle of the 20th century the term cider can describe both non-alcoholic and fermented ciders, but hard cider is the most common descriptor for those with alcohol. New England has been home to cider from the time of the pilgrims’ arrival and still finds a number of producers among its farmers. However, our tasting this week will show ciders from regions other than New England including California and Scotland. Come join us for a taste, perhaps you will honor the turkey meal with some fermented apple juice.
